The geese started arriving here in October and I am looking out my window at a flock of 10,000. It has been so unseasonably warm, that they don't need to migrate any farther south.

We didn't see any geese here in Delaware from May when we arrived through September, however.

We have also see flocks of Canadian Geese.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-69893050959793139652012-01-05T15:59:18.260-07:002012-01-05T15:59:18.260-07:00Yet, that secondary population in Quebec down thro...Yet, that secondary population in Quebec down through region including New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey strikes my curiosity. They appear to be in that area nearly year round with just a slight movement north and south. Can anyone from that area confirm what the maps seem to be telling me?

Those Geese are not snow Geese, rather Canadian Geese that have changed their pattern because of a steady food supply. They no longer migrate. Which makes them the relative that came to visit and never left.BASDMOMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14826719540464364304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-48704108507734777042010-03-21T10:52:33.234-06:002010-03-21T10:52:33.234-06:00I guess you read my favourite book "The Snow ...I guess you read my favourite book "The Snow Geese" by William Fiennes?.
