Wish I had answers for you, but I don't. Your last photo is perfect because the bird looks like it has a questioning look on its face.Kathie Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377224759599266209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-14918241017367379982011-12-12T18:27:12.218-07:002011-12-12T18:27:12.218-07:00Great post and very exciting story. The three of them were in a line not more than just a few feet apart from one another, all while banking sharp turns left and right, up and down and all over. it ended when the lead dove flew headlong into some bushes, the hawk pulled out of the line and flew over the bush and the trailing dove went into the bush as well. Any Air Force fighter pilot would have been very impressed if they could have seen it.Gary Howellhttp://howtostopsquirrels.com/squirrel-proof-bird-feeder-considerations/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-10280121291912791352011-12-12T13:32:47.610-07:002011-12-12T13:32:47.610-07:00Cool observation. As far as I know, young accipiters are never associated with their parents this time of year, and I don't think I've ever even seen one accipiter attempting to steal food from another. Pretty unusual sighting, I reckon.Seagull Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851438505719552645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-20434742060038225002011-12-12T11:49:39.445-07:002011-12-12T11:49:39.445-07:00Great story!
