During my trip, I did see several alligators eating, but they all appeared to be fish that they caught and then brought to the surface to eat (I understand they cannot eat underwater). Makes you wonder if the birds have "ESP", and know when the alligators are hungry! :o)Jim Braswellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01583209944101836271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-33299107795246317412014-02-10T20:01:02.338-07:002014-02-10T20:01:02.338-07:00Thanks, Chris, and yes, it is a birder's delig...Thanks, Chris, and yes, it is a birder's delight!Jim Braswellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01583209944101836271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5068198388134099737.post-39038798674003831732014-02-10T20:00:22.757-07:002014-02-10T20:00:22.757-07:00Thanks, Julie! Egrets casual walking right past alligator mouths (even brushing against them) is such a common site everywhere. It seems like easy eating to grab a leg and pull them down, but I can't say I've ever heard about or seen evidence of it.
