My family enjoyed watching a Sharp-shinned Hawk chasing birds through our backyard. It would perch on a bitterbrush snag or on the side of the hill and wait for the birds to come back to the feeders. We never saw it make a kill, but it did kill a Junco by flushing it right into our covered patio window. Bummer!
I also observed a Rock Pigeon on top of the neighbor's house. Only my second sighting at Avimor. The last one was in August 2009 for a few days.
